Tour History

Nationwide Tour Players Cup × 6 Years

Pete Dye designed over 100 courses, but only a handful carry his own name. That alone tells you something about how he felt about this one. Located in the rolling hills of West Virginia, the Pete Dye Golf Club opened on July 4, 1993 — with Dye himself in the inaugural group, playing the course the way he built it: aggressively.

The course went on to host the Nationwide Tour Players Cup for six consecutive years, which shaped the setup you'll encounter: firm, fast, and unforgiving off-line. Dye's signature railroad ties, forced carries, and diabolically contoured greens are all present and accounted for.

West Virginia's topography gives the routing a natural drama that few flat-state designers ever achieve — and the back nine's closing stretch is as good a finishing run as you'll find anywhere.
